Joes Koppers (NL)
Joes Koppers studied Graphic Design at the Rietveld Academy in
Amsterdam, and graduated with a MFA in Interactive Media from the
Sandberg Institute. In 1999, Koppers founded USEmedia, an Amsterdam
based digital design studio, which is located at usemedia.com. Moreover,
usemedia.com is an experimental web server, maintained and updated
by Koppers; it is also a space where he publishes his autonomous
works and research. While Koppers’ research uses a variety
of digital techniques and media, his focus is on interaction design
rather than on specific technologies. His work is triggered by his
design practice and simultaneously creates a base for the next generation
of concrete, client-oriented works.
