Margarete Jahrmann (AT)
Margarete Jahrmann (1968), artist and journalist, studied at the
Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam and graduated from the University
of Applied Arts in Vienna in 1994. Since 1994 she has realized a
variety of net projects, CD-ROMs, Superfem online performances,
and Web3D projects. Jahrmann is also co-founder of Konsum.net. She
has held teaching positions at the University for Applied Arts (Vienna),
the University for Artistic and Industrial Design (Linz), and the
University for Design and Art (Zürich). Her works and publications
include Mamax, Pocahontas Chat-Navigator, LinX3D, nTracker, and
"Art_Server: Stargate to Netculture" (Triton, 2001) as
well as "Intertwinedness, Reflecting the culture of the net"
(Ritter, 2000).
